Areas of action

The project is divided into two main areas of action:

Development of an advanced prompt engineering technique: This area focuses on the creation of specific and optimized prompts for large-scale AI models (72B parameters), in order to improve the accuracy in identifying printing techniques.
Development and training of a deep learning model: This area involves the creation and training of a deep learning model specifically designed to recognize printing techniques through the visual analysis of images.

Project targets

Initial Phase: Automatically identify pre-photographic printing technologies (e.g. lithography, engraving, woodcut, etching, etc.) through automated visual analysis.
Next Step: Extend the functionality to recognize photographic printing techniques (e.g. albumin, silver gelatin, cyanotypes, etc.).
